The first official trailer of Aquaman is out now!

In case you haven’t watched it yet, here it is:

Among the many things revealed and presented at the Comic-Con in San Diego this year, one of them is the first official trailer of DC’s Aquaman.

Jason Momoa gets his first solo superhero film, playing as Aquaman (human name Arthur Curry). The trailer starts by explaining how he came to be: he is the son of a normal man, a lighthouse keeper, and a queen (of the sea). Ever since Arthur was a little child he had the marine creatures by his side.

The trailer shows mostly that there is a war between the underwater world and the surface world, which was planned by Arthur’s half brother, Orm. At first, out hero doesn’t seem to have anything to do with this, but in the end he decides to do what every hero does: save the world (and in his case, he saves two worlds).

After Wonder Woman‘s great success, DC and Warner Bros. seem like they want to experiment with solo films, films that focus mainly on only one superhero of their universe. This will surely prove successful, as it will create a very full image of what every hero is like and make the lesser known heroes more popular.

This film will premiere on December 21, 2018, so stay tuned!
